Rumours
Evening League New Player
St Ouen’s Saturday Captain
Richard Gomersall has mentioned that
he may play for St Ouen’s in the 2005 Evening League season. Micky
Poulter, St Helier Rugby Club Skipper knew nothing of this decision when questioned
2 weeks ago.
Unconfirmed reports state
that Paul Horton, not normally known
for his singing, may be linking up with Radio Jersey’s DJ Murray Norton to
release a cover version of Waddle and Hoddle’s single Diamond Lights. Horton’s mullet will do just the job!
You may have recently read
in the JEP about the torrential rain and the noises coming from Dave Parry’s toilet in his basement
flat. The picture in the paper had Dave
showing us what 4 inches is like.
Dave said in one of those
Aussie Accents 'I knew there might be a problem when I heard bubbling from the
toilet.’ Apparently his explanation for
these sounds was that the torrential rain had left heavy water gushing in
Beresford Street.
We can now confirm that
the noises coming from Dave’s toilet was in fact Danny Moffat who had paid a surprise visit to Jersey and his
exploits has caused a blockage in the St Peter’s Valley region.
It has come to our
attention that SCF will be without ‘The Confident’ Matt Hague in the 2005
campaign but have secured the services of a South African opening bat of high
calibre. This report came in shortly
after St Ouen’s altered their batting line-up pushing Dendy Thompson into the opening berth.
Could he be the South
African they are referring to?
