After the narrow loss in the final of the JEP KO Evening League Cup, Skipper Dave Clark was quoted as saying

'Oh, it could have been so different'

He was of course referring the former Murratti goalkeeper, Jamie Brewster and that

'it was a pretty regulation catch in the gully'

This would have dismissed Hague in the second over of the evening, off a delivery from young Danny Blasco before the Island Opener had got off the mark.

He then went on to say

'It wasn't the most difficult of catches. I am sure his team mates would agree but sometimes when the pressure is on it's not so easy. You'd like to think that normally he could have picked that up quite easily, but unfortunately for us it's gone down. It could have been the turning point in the game'.

Well Hague only went on to make 75 smashing Horton, Thompson and Ramskill to all parts of the ground.

However, Brewster still showed that he is still a good stopper, if the Island’s Football Coach was watching.
