Again catches paid a big part in this game St Ouen’s dropped 2 and Old Codgers took 9. Karl Moyse (2 for 19) and Richard Gomersall bowled excellent spells the latter reeled off 10 in succession for just 22 runs. Slowly but surely the first 4 Old Codgers batsmen took the score passed 100 before a flurry of wickets curbed their scoring. 33 extras made up total of 160 for 9 in 45 overs.

In reply St Ouen’s started terribly and never recovered. Middleton and Coward bowled the correct line and length on a track, which encouraged the bowlers. At 14 for 6 there was no recovering although a spirited 29 from Paul Horton, Dendy Thompson (14) and some late on hitting from Simon Varley who was finally stranded on 20 not out. St Ouen’s finally being bowled out for 86.
